You have surely heard about Google’s RankBrain algorithm by now. It is the first look at artificial intelligence in SEO and it is changing the way the World Wide Web works. As you may already know, it is altering the SERPs by learning from past searches, but there’s a lot more to the artificial intelligence known as RankBrain than you might realize. Here are three ways that RankBrain is impacting SEO and how you can make sure your site still gets the attention it deserves:

Keywords Need to Be Analyzed Independently

In the past, when there was a big change in rankings, analysts would evaluate which types of websites were affected and then declare that Google’s latest algorithm change was due to content quality, backlink profiles, or whatever else. But thanks to RankBrain, these generic SEO declarations are no longer accurate. Why? Because RankBrain uses a different combination of core algorithms depending on each specific query.
