Zero Gravity Marketing has risen above the competition to become a top digital marketing firm in Connecticut, and we credit it to our unique, diverse team. We appreciate every player, and we know that without him or her, we wouldn’t be the successful marketing firm we are today.
With this in mind, we have launched an Employee Spotlight initiative. Our hope is that, as you learn more about each of the talented individuals at our marketing firm, you will gain further insight into why we are so great together.
Today, we are thrilled to introduce Jon Dorosh, Pay-Per-Click Specialist. We have asked him a few questions to provide an insider’s look as to what makes Jon tick. Enjoy!
Jon Dorosh, Pay-Per-Click Specialist
Where are you from?
I grew up here in Connecticut, a pretty small town called Seymour.
How did you choose this career path?
When I was in college at UConn, I joined the Advertising Club and started helping local businesses with marketing campaigns targeting other students. That led to an internship in Paid Media where I began to build experience in Google AdWords and get more familiar with the industry.
What do you like most about your job?
I love the massive amount of data that paid advertising on platforms like Google AdWords and Facebook generates. It feels like each day is an opportunity to find a new insight or trend that helps refine our strategy and improve performance. We also have an outstanding snack selection at the office.
What is your favorite part of being a member of the ZGM team?
Everyone’s an expert in their respective fields and the collaborative environment makes it very easy to bounce ideas off of one another.
What is your favorite quote?
“Anything is possible” – Kevin Garnett
Do you have any pets?
My parents do, a Yorkie-Shih Tsu named Tucker that I grew up with.
Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
I love going to the gym and staying active, playing Golf, and passionately following all Boston sports teams.
What’s your favorite food? Least favorite food?
I love any Italian food, particularly Chicken Parmesan. I have a pretty extensive list of foods I hate, including (but not limited to): Candy Corn, Bologna, Artichokes, and Oysters.
If you were a Crayola crayon, what color would you be?
Fresh Air Blue from their 1997 Scented Crayon collection (highly sought after in the crayon memorabilia community).
You’re about to perform in a karaoke bar. What song do you pick?
Rockstar by Nickelback and nail every word.
If you could live in a TV show, book, or movie, which one would you pick?
Fever Pitch. Terrible plot, but I’ll make that sacrifice for the Red Sox to win the world series every year.
If you could hang out with anyone for a day, alive or dead, who would it be and why?
Elon Musk, trying to get a ticket to Mars.
