Q: Where are you from?
A: I was born in Meriden, Connecticut, but have lived in quite a few towns in CT.
Q: How did you choose this career path?
A: My career path was never a straight ride, always a crazy loopy highway with a lot of exits and construction detours along the way. I’ve been drawing and making things for as long as I can remember, but I never thought I could make a job of it. Before I got into graphic design and fell in love with it, I wanted to be a veterinarian, engineer, carpenter, teacher, coder, book editor, or an ER doctor. I landed on graphic design because I was passionate about it, and it was the only thing I could picture myself doing long-term without it feeling like a job.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: My job is always changing and evolving. It allows me to work on collaborative creative projects across different industries.
Q: What is your favorite part of being a member of the ZGM team?
A: I love working with other fun and creative people who can help me learn new things and skills.
Q: What is the strangest job you've ever had?
A: One summer off from college, I couldn't find a part-time job, so I spent the entire summer finding free items (mostly things family/friends were throwing out) and flipping/selling them.
Q: What is your favorite quote?
A: It is what it is
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: She's more of a lazy old roommate but yes, I have a Maltese/Yorkie mix named Lola who I estimate is around 11-12 years old.
Q: Name one thing on your bucket list.
A: Go into an animal shelter and take home the dog that has been there the longest.
Q: What would you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
A: Being able to be levelheaded, compassionate, and thoughtful.
Q: Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
A: Art/drawing is the biggest one. I also like music, home improvement projects, reading, playing on my Nintendo Switch, and any type of water activity.
Q: What's your favorite food? Least favorite food?
A: Favorite: Chicken curry with roti. Least favorite: Seafood. My family is from the Caribbean so spicy food is a must!
Q: Pick three words to describe yourself.
A: Creative, nonchalant, weird
Q: Favorite musician?
A: Depends on my mood or what I’m doing. Top 10 in no particular order: Kendrick Lamar, Evanescence, Paramore, Mary J. Blige, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Marc Anthony, Frank Ocean, Machel Montano, Ed Sheeran.
Q: If you could live in a TV show, book, or movie, which one would you pick?
A: Moana
