Link Building Services

On-site Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is essential, but it's not the only thing you need to do these days. Off-site SEO is equally as important as the blogs and webpages you put out to the universe from your own site. Of course, it's not always as easy as it seems on paper. Fortunately, you've found Zero Gravity Marketing (ZGM) and our team is here to help you navigate the world of off-site link building so you can bolster your rankings and befriend the search engines.

What is Link Building, and Why is It Important to Your Overall SEO Strategy?

Building links is one of the many tactics companies can use to accelerate their Search Engine Optimization strategies. When you have links going to your site, it's a sign that Google can trust your brand as a worthy, valuable source of information. This, in turn, means the search engines are more likely to send searchers your way when they look for specific keywords. The more quality and authoritative backlinks you can achieve, the more likely you'll be to earn higher rankings on the search engine results pages (SERPs).

Explaining Domain Authority (DA) and Why We Measure This Score in Link Building

What is Domain Authority?

Domain Authority (DA) is an essential link metric to monitor if you want to achieve the best results from your off-site SEO efforts. Developed by Moz, DA is a search engine ranking score based on a scale from one to 100 (100 meaning a greater ability to rank). Overall, Domain Authority helps predict how well a website will rank in the search engines and is calculated by evaluating multiple factors such as linking root domains and the total number of links pointing to a particular domain.

How Do You Increase Domain Authority?

At ZGM, we are experts in increasing our clients’ domain authority through strategic and natural link building tactics. We use various methods and tools to help us identify relevant websites that have a high domain authority themselves to acquire quality backlinks for our clients. One of the ways we build backlinks is by way of guest post contributions on these relevant websites. In return for the guest post, we can acquire a backlink which helps improve a website’s search visibility, keyword rankings, domain authority and overall SEO. Building quality backlinks to a particular page or blog post can also help increase page authority and keyword rankings to a specific URL. At ZGM, we diversify our off-site SEO efforts by building backlinks to both our clients home pages and most important landing pages/blogs for the best results.

Nofollow vs. Dofollow Links – What’s Best for Link Building?

This is a question we get quite often at ZGM and one that we’re happy to help clarify for our clients. The technical difference between a nofollow and dofollow link is that a nofollow link has a nofollow tag added in the HTML. This results in nofollow links not passing any link equity (also known as “link juice”) to the destination page/domain. From a link building perspective, we primarily target dofollow links to help pass link equity, page rank and to increase our clients search engine rankings. However, we do believe it’s important to include nofollow links in our overall SEO strategy to ensure we are building a natural backlink portfolio and diversifying our efforts for our clients. Although the focus is stronger on acquiring dofollow links, nofollow backlinks also have their place in our SEO link building campaigns.
