Local SEO is all about making sure your business shows up in the “local” section of search results where you see the map and the pinpoints. Google chooses to show local search results for searches which it believes has local intent. For example, Google believes searches for restaurants have local intent. The person searching for the restaurant is probably considering actually going to the restaurant. Other searches such as searches for information on a topic have no local intent.
If you have a business that serves local communities, you should consider local SEO as part of your marketing strategy. As part of our process, we will register your business with Google+, Yahoo local and Bing local. We will then build a series of local citations which are “mentions” or “web references” of your business even if there is no link to your website. Examples of citations include links from online directories, sites like yelp and local chambers of commerce or local business associations.
