Chris Uzzo
Chris Uzzo is the CEO and Founder of Zero Gravity Marketing, where he leads the agency with a focus on delivering outstanding work, growing the business, and fostering a strong company culture. With a Management degree from the University of Massachusetts, Chris specializes in agency leadership, setting the company’s vision, and empowering department leaders to drive success. He’s played a key role in strengthening company culture, improving communication, and refining how ZGM tracks hours against scopes to hone profitability.
As a leader, Chris believes in supporting his team, providing them with the tools and autonomy to solve challenges and push the agency forward. Outside of work, he enjoys fitness, cooking, and spending time with his family, especially watching his kids compete in sports. At home, you’ll often find him with his dogs or perfecting a new recipe in the kitchen.
Why do you enjoy digital marketing?
I love digital marketing because it’s always changing, and there is always a new challenge to tackle. It is a mix of strategy, creativity, and data that keeps things interesting. I like solving problems, optimizing for better results, and finding new ways to help businesses grow. But the best part is seeing the impact, watching our clients succeed, and supporting our team to help them achieve their goals.
What is your favorite quote?
“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place. And I don’t care how tough you are. It will beat you to your knees and keep you permanently there if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life, but it ain’t about how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done. Now, if you know what you are worth, go out and get what you are worth, but you gotta be willing to take the hits and not pointing fingers, saying you ain’t where you want to be because of him or her or anybody. Cowards do that, and that ain’t you. You’re better than that”.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I wouldn’t say it's hidden, but I’m pretty good at cooking. I like experimenting with different recipes and trying new foods. I also enjoy chess, wine making, and movie and music trivia.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
There was a time when I wanted to be in the restaurant business, probably because of my love for food and entertaining. But once I realized it meant spending most nights and weekends at the restaurant, I knew it wasn’t for me. I wanted a career that gave me more flexibility and time with family, which is one of the reasons I ended up in agency life.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have two dogs, Georgia and Regan. Georgia is a small Jack Russell and Dachshund mix with a big personality, and Regan is a big English Bulldog and Hound mix who thinks she’s a lap dog. We are big dog lovers, and they are a huge part of the family.
