Our Thoughts on the Ongoing Invasion of Ukraine

Over the last few weeks, the world has seen some horrendous and evil acts take place. The invasion of Ukraine has been one of the most covered events in human history. We are thousands of miles away from the conflict, but we’re watching it unfold on our screens in real-time. The sheer amount of public information gives many Americans their first glimpse into war. It hurts, and we are empathetic. We want to help.

Zero Gravity Marketing understands the magnitude of the situation in Ukraine. This is a political conflict that has been ongoing for decades. Even though our business and employees are halfway around the globe, we cannot be bystanders in circumstances where human rights are infringed.

Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee worked to find verified relief funds that we can donate to. We have activated Bonusly, the recognition program that the ZGM team uses to praise one another for their successes in the workplace, to allow employees to make donations to Ukrainian relief funds. We are grateful we can also use this outlet to give to those who need our support. The organization chosen to support is Save The Children Federation in Ukraine. This organization uses donations to support Ukrainian children’s access to education, psychosocial support, winter and hygiene kits, and cash grants to pay for food, rent, and medicine. This organization is actively on the ground delivering humanitarian aid to those conflict areas.

We recognize the trauma of watching this unfold has affected our team’s well-being. We cannot help but feel anxious about these events.

What Can You Do?

If you want to join Zero Gravity Marketing in making a difference to the people affected by the invasion, there are various causes you can support.

Make a Donation

We chose to donate to the Save The Children Federation, but there are many other organizations accepting donations. Just make sure you are supporting legitimate causes. Unfortunately, people can try to take advantage of hard times and scam others. A few of the organizations that you can donate to include:

  • UNICEF. Support health, nutrition, education, safe drinking water, sanitation, and protection for children and families in conflict zones.
  • Doctors Without Borders. Help volunteers and healthcare professionals travel to prescribe medicine, give treatment, and raise awareness about health challenges to those in Ukraine.
  • International Medical Corps. Provide physical, mental, psychosocial, and COVID-19 services for people displaced from their homes in Ukraine.
