Zero Gravity Marketing is currently seeking a seasoned e-commerce web developer proficient in Shopify and WordPress WooCommerce platforms. Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage e-commerce websites on Shopify 2.0 & WooCommerce platforms
- Develop and maintain documentation for e-commerce projects, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and discussions to articulate technical concepts, project progress, and recommendations effectively
- Utilize pre-built and custom themes, modules, and functional solutions
- Design and implement custom-developed themes and functional modules as necessary
- Adaptability to work across multiple platforms with a commitment to continuous learning
- Client-facing responsibilities including managing expectations, explaining processes, and recommending best practices
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in e-commerce development, platforms, and technologies
- Drive project estimations, identify appropriate tools, and develop short and long-term development plans while mitigating risks associated with third-party tools
- Ensure the highest standards of code quality, cleanliness, and maintainability in all development work
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal stakeholders on e-commerce best practices, platform capabilities, and customization options
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation to streamline development workflows and enhance project outcomes
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Shopify 2.0, Shopify Plus, Shopify CLI, WordPress, and WooCommerce
- Expertise in GIT, Liquid, Twig, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MEAN, MERN, LAMP stacks, and other industry technologies
- Familiarity with page builders such as Beaver Builder, Divi, Elementor, WebFlow, DUDA, and Gutenberg
- Experience with Google Merchant Center, Shopify Sales Channels, and various social media platforms
- Preferred but not required experience in Webflow, Salesforce, Pardot, Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, and Klaviyo
- Understanding of Google Analytics tracking, Facebook and AdWord conversion pixel tracking, and enhanced eCommerce tracking
- Proficiency in technical SEO, including analytics troubleshooting, site speed optimization, structured data, and AMP
- Ability to connect website forms to CRM systems using tools like Zapier
- Knowledge of e-commerce-specific technologies and integrations, such as payment gateways, shipping APIs, and inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with database management systems, particularly MySQL for WordPress and Shopify's built-in database structures.
- Ability to optimize website performance through techniques like caching, lazy loading, and image compression to improve page load times and user experience.
- Proficiency in using debugging tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot issues across both front-end and back-end components of e-commerce websites.
- Understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce, including schema markup, meta tags optimization, and URL structure optimization.
- Experience with implementing and configuring third-party plugins, extensions, and APIs to extend the functionality of e-commerce platforms and integrate with external systems.
